General Information

The available publications in Girne American University’s Library are mostly in Turkish and English languages providing supportive concept parallel to the education, policy and scientific researches of the university. In addition to this service students have the opportunity to reach directly to any information from all around the globe via subscribing to the international database.

 

The library is based on open shelf system and the classification of the sources are arranged accordingly to Dewey Classification System. The library provides broad services namely counseling, publication scan, usage of current databases, borrowing, book and article photocopying. Also all users may benefit from the wireless internet connection through their personal computers.

 

The informative resources available in the Library are transferred to digital platform through “Librid Library Automation Program” and thus allows digital tracking of technical services namely borrowing, time prolong for borrowing, reservation, supplying and ordering. The user may benefit from the open shelf system to find the resources classified accordingly to their topics or ask for help from the reference librarian for further assistance. The borrowing and return of books are only possible by providing ID for the students, academicians and personnel.
